Traditional Tuesdays #52OMG OMFG OMFG! This is week fifty-two of this little article, and I can honestly say that I didn't think it would last this long. The night I started this feature, I was bored and just browsing around the Traditional Gallery. I was finding all kinds great artwork, that for one reason or another I couldn't/wouldn't give a DD. It could be because they had a DD recently, but mainly it was for a link to go back and see what they created next, and if they took it to the next level. Now it's more for artwork that I no longer have time to DD, I can't DD everything! I still find the article fun to do, and I'll keep doing it until it no longer is. Now with the warming out of the way, Hi, and welcome to the 43rd edition of Traditional Tuesdays. This week, like all of the other weeks, I'll be featuring fifteen works of art from the Traditional Gallery. Any more than that might and you might loss interest or it could cause your monitor to fail in an explosion of awesomeness. I would feel guilty if that were to happen, so I'm keeping it at fifteen! The Traditional gallery is a vast storeroom of work that covers many mediums and genres. I've tried to show a diverse array of artwork, but I don't have room for them all. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!

Not So Traditional Tuesdays #5Okay, so it's a day late. I have a great excuse though! The new "More Like This" is killing me, in a good way. I can start browsing Fractals, and a few clicks(3 hours) later I'm in Scratchboard. This isn't a bad thing at all, just not when I'm doing a feature of nontraditional work.

. This wasn't something I that had I planned on doing. Originally this was just a one off article because I was bored one day, and started typing in random search words. It is still fun to do though, so I think it will keep going until it no longer is.

One of the more recent articles on the topic of photography explores how an instagram photograph taken during Hurricane Sandy has been selected to be used on the cover of Time Magazine. Perhaps quite fittingly, the title accompanying the image on the front page is Lessons from the storm. Whilst many have learned a lot from Hurricane Sandy and many more are working on rebuilding their lives, one of the biggest lessons for photographers and the world of media could well be that iphone Photographers can be photo-journalists too. We've covered the topic of equipment, capabilities and qualifications many a time before now in Photography Weekly - but what are your thoughts on this article?
